Nicolas Acker has more than ten years of experience in European government affairs, advocacy and communication.

His years at the Brussels office of a global communication group have helped him gain an in-depth expertise of the European security sector and related policies. Throughout his career, Nicolas has designed and implemented successful advocacy campaigns, policy events and issue management projects for a wide range of clients in the security and defence industry including GE Security, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, Rockwell Collins, Thermo Scientific, and Iscon Video Imaging.

Prior to that, Nicolas assisted the spokesman of the President of the European Parliament and worked for a French political communication agency.

Nicolas is a graduate from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Strasbourg and holds post-graduate degrees in European affairs from the University of Paris III for which he wrote a thesis paper on the “Combined Joint Task Forces” concept, in international administration from the University of Paris II and in international and strategic affairs from the University of Paris XIII where he drafted a thesis paper about the Western European Union and the European architecture of defence.

Nicolas is French, fluent in English and has a good command of Spanish.
